Drawing Contest Mon fleuve et moi, 2016-2017 Edition
Through their drawings, Quebec students aged 6 through 20 are invited to depict their dream activity related to the St. Lawrence. For the sixth year, the Fondation Monique-Fitz-Back is organizing this contest and providing educational materials for teachers. The contest will see a total of 50 finalists selected, including 10 prizewinners, 5 at the elementary level and 5 at the high school / college / vocational and adult levels. The deadline for entries is February 17, 2017.

Marie-Sophie Giroux joined the GREMM in 2005 until 2018. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology and a diploma in Environmental Consulting. As Lead Naturalist, she oversees and coordinates the team working at the Marine Mammal Interpretation Centre and writes for Whales Online and Whale Portraits. She loves to share “whale stories” with visitors to the CIMM and readers alike.
