Life history
We first met DL9080 in 2015. At the time, he was still gray. He was still gray when we last saw him in 2021. Beluga whale color change, from gray to white, occurs between the ages of 12 and 16.
It has been observed among adults and young grays, as well as with adults, young grays and calves.
