The first white-sided dolphins have been spotted in the Gasp\u00e9 and Mingan sectors, perhaps a sign that cooler days are right around the corner.<\/p><h2><strong>Whales under the stars<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>While the Perseids reached their peak over Quebec this week, whales were also parading through our cold waters, leaving behind not a bluish meteor, but rather a mirror-like patch of water. This phenomenon is called \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/hakaimagazine.com\/article-short\/path-unseen-whale\/\"><em>qala<\/em><\/a>\u201d in I\u00f1upiaq, or flukeprint.
