In 2021, 19 beluga carcasses were reported and examined on the shores of the St. Lawrence as part of the carcass monitoring program conducted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/baleinesendirect.org\/en\/les-benevoles-du-reseau-quebecois-durgences-pour-les-mammiferes-marins-une-equipe-essentielle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Quebec Marine Mammal Emergency Response Network. (QMMERN)<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cUnfortunately, we\u2019re still seeing a lot of neonatal mortality this year.
