It was during this lull that a resident of <strong>Franquelin<\/strong> saw dozens of seals basking on the icy shores. \u201cIt\u2019s hard to say exactly what species, as they\u2019re a little too far to be sure!\u201d confides the local.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>Gasp\u00e9<\/strong> <strong>Bay<\/strong>, an observer spotted harbour seals last Thursday. She tallied about thirty resting on the pack ice. Two days later, between <strong>Cap-des-Rosiers<\/strong> and <strong>L\u2019Anse-au-Griffon<\/strong>, she encounters more, about twenty this time.
