Witnessing a whale accompanied by a baby \u2013 also known as a calf \u2013 brings observers great joy. But when in addition the mother is well known, it\u2019s a downright celebration!<\/p>\n
On June 11, somewhere between La Martre\u00a0<\/strong>and Marsoui\u00a0<\/strong>in the Gasp\u00e9, an observer films three humpback whales, including a calf. Two days later, another observer spots a couple of spouts as she\u2019s driving down Route 132. \u201cI stopped to watch. We saw the tails and pectoral fins of three feeding humpback whales.
