Dorothy is near Anse à la Barque (Translator’s note: a cove) in the Saguenay Fjord, just upstream from the ferry crossing. The crew aboard the Bleuvet spots her in a herd of forty or so individuals. The herd is composed of adults and several gray-coloured young individuals. Dorothy is swimming in the company of Blanche, another well known female. Since 2008, they have been observed together frequently. The herd makes its way toward Baie Sainte-Marguerite, often the final destination of the Saguenay community of females.
