Vancouver Aquarium: end of captivity for cetaceans

On March 9, after two evenings of public hearings, the Vancouver Parks Commission decided: there will be no more cetaceans at the Vancouver Aquarium. By amending the park control regulations, the Vancouver Aquarium will no longer be able to import or expose live cetaceans. The Regulations will be amended for review by May 15, 2017.
